Show us what you can build! Prizes will be awarded to winners. Bring something built at home with your own LEGOs or build something with the library’s LEGOs at the event.
Join us for a fun, mid-summer party! We will start with a hula-hoop show then have time for some crafts and other activities. Kids are welcome to bring a t-shirt or other piece of clothing to dye; we will provide bandanas. READ dogs will also be in the library. If the weather is nice, we’ll have some outdoor activity options also.
This project was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
On June 23rd a group of teens from the library took a trip down to Rochester to visit the Ronald McDonald House. They brought with them a variety of favorite board games. Residents of the Ronald McDonald House joined them in the community room to engage in some friendly mystery hunting, monster fighting, and maze navigating. A fun and joyful atmosphere was created and new friendships were made.
The Ronald McDonald House of Rochester, Minnesota provides a home-away-from home and offers support to families seeking medical care for their children. The House hosts 42 families each night and has been in operation since 1980.
This weekend is Covered Bridge Festival in Zumbrota which also means the annual book sale at the library. The book sale will be from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 18 in the library parking lot. We’ve been collecting book donations all year in preparation for this sale, so we’ll have a diverse selection for you to choose from. Prices are also enticingly low, and all funds go to support your local library.
