This weekend is Covered Bridge Festival in Zumbrota which also means the annual book sale at the library. The book sale will be from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 20 in the library parking lot. We’ve been collecting book donations all year in preparation for this sale, so we’ll have a diverse selection for you to choose from. Prices are also enticingly low, and all funds go to support your local library.
Be sure to put the library book sale on your festival “to do” list, and stop by on your way to or from the park. We’ll see you on Saturday!
Some very special visitors will be in the library at 1pm on Saturday, June 13- three live birds of prey! The raptors are visiting from Eagle Bluff Nature Center in Lanesboro, and will be part of an educational and engaging presentation.
Our summer reading program is just around the corner! We’ll be having a Kick-off Carnival at the library on Mon, June 1, 5-8 pm. Come get all your program materials, sign up for workshops, get your face painted, and see if you can survive our super hero training camp!
All the details about the summer program can be found on a new tab right here on the website (look up!). Or, use this link: http://www.zumbrota.info/summer-reading/.
Our Young Adult Library Advisory group is taking on a volunteer project! They will be making fleece blankets to donate to Ronald McDonald House in Rochester. In order to afford enough fleece for all the blankets they want to make, they are asking for donations by way of cash or check. We have a little donation station set up in the library. Stop by if you would like to contribute or have any questions!
Due to medical reasons, Midori is no longer planning to visit the library this Saturday for the musical story hour. SEMYO will still be visiting the library at 1pm to perform and read a special story. We apologize for any inconvenience.
