A Musical Story Hour with SEMYO

The talented young musicians of the Southeastern Minnesota Youth Orchestra will be presenting a special program at the Zumbrota Public Library on Saturday, May 9 at 1:00pm.  The program will include performances by SEMYO and a special story about the instruments in the orchestra.

This project was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Fundraiser Saturday

4th anual fundraiser

The annual fundraiser is this Saturday, April 18, 9am-2pm at the VFW.  There will be many local home businesses represented, some tasty food, and a new Kids Korner featuring a Teddy Bear Clinic and a visit from the firefighters from 11am to 1pm.  Proceeds from the fundraiser go to support our children’s programs.

The above photos are from our Super Saturday series from the last six months.  We’ve been having so much fun!  Super Saturday is the second Saturday of every month, and features a story time followed by special guests and activities.  Special guests so far have included the Zumbrota Fire Department, Quarry Hill Nature Center, Santa Claus, Jake McBroom, and our READ dogs Annie and Midnight.  The next Super Saturday will be April 11 at 10am.  The theme will be LEGO Fun and both Midnight and Annie will be available to listen to kids read to them.  Much, much thanks to our special guests for making Super Saturdays so super!
