The 2013 summer reading program runs from June 3 – July 26.

Kids Events

Interactive Story Times
- Monday evenings at 6:30 pm

- Thursday, June 6, 6:30 pm : Summer Reading Program Kick-off Carnival

Reading Records & Prizes

Sign up for the summer reading program and pick up your reading record at the library any time in June or July.

Reading logs

Infants-preschoolers:
You will log every 15 minutes that someone spends reading to you. Your goal is 12 1/2 hours spent reading this summer.

K-6th graders:
You will log every 15 minutes that you spend reading.
Your goal is 12 1/2 hours spent reading this summer.

7th-12th graders:
You will write down the titles and authors of the books you read.
Your goal is to read 8 books this summer- one for every week of the program!

Prizes for completed reading logs
All completed reading logs turned into the library will earn a packet of prize certificates to be used at:
-Kwik Trip
-DQ
-the Hub
-the city pool
-Crossings

Activity logs & MORE prizes

Infants-preschoolers:
Your activity log suggests fun reading related activities you can do with family members or friends. Complete 10 of the 20 activities and turn in your activity log for your choice of a prize out of the pre-readers prize box.

K-6th graders:
Your activity log suggests fun reading related activities that you can do. Complete 5 of the 10 activities and turn in your activity log for your choice of a prize out of the readers prize box.

7th-12th graders:
Every reading log that you turn in will be entered into a drawing for fun prizes that include gift cards for iTunes and movie tickets.
