How do I get a library card?

Any resident of the state of Minnesota can apply for a free library card with identification and proof of residency. Please stop by the library any time to apply for a library card and take advantage of our collection of books, music, and movies.

How long do I get to check out materials?

All NEW Zumbrota items can be checked out for two weeks.

All other items from Zumbrota, or requested from another library, can be checked out for three weeks.

All items can be renewed two times, as long as no other patrons are waiting.

These new lending rules do not apply to special collections which include but are not limited to:

  • 1 week checkout: WiFi Hotspots, Tonieboxes, Tonies, Vox Books, Break-in Bags
  • 24 hour checkout: disc golf sets, tennis rackets, pickle ball sets

Can I volunteer at the library?

Yes, you can. We have a number of dedicated volunteers who help us out every week, from covering books to shelf-checking.

Do you have a meeting room? How much does it cost?

The library has a meeting room available for general public use. The fee is $20.00 for non-profits, and $40.00 for for-profit organizations. For more information, please consult our meeting room policy.

Does the library have wireless internet access?

Yes, the library carries wireless, free of charge, to all patrons.
