We are taking a break from our regularly scheduled story times in August in order to take time for future program planning. We will be back with story times in September, Monday nights at 6:30 and Tuesday mornings at 10:30. However, feel free to keep coming by the library to check out books and play with toys and puzzles. We are also still accepting reading logs and activity logs from the summer reading program, up until the end of August, so feel free to finish up your reading and bring those in some time.
Next Wednesday, July 17, the library will receive a visit from the RAD (Reptile and Amphibian Discovery) Zoo animals and their keepers. The show will be at 3:00 pm and will be followed by some time for kids to touch the animals. Come and learn about some fascinating creatures…we’ll have related reading material on display for check out as well!
So far the summer reading program is off to a fantastic start with 70 kids signed up on the first day!!! We hope lots of families will come to our summer kick-off carnival on Thursday evening at 6:30 pm. There will be carnival games and fun prizes. If the weather is nice, we’ll be outside; otherwise meet us in the meeting room!
