Registration is required for this program. For this year’s GSK Science in the Summer program, we will train our sights on the field of biology! In this two-hour workshop, students will become biologists to learn about wildlife, plants, fisheries, and prehistory. With Bakken Museum educators as their guide, these burgeoning biologists will practice observational techniques and scientific thinking all while being introduced to real science career paths and having lots of fun.

Build something awesome and bring it to the library for judging! All entries are due by the start of the contest. There will be prizes for the winners.

If you do not have LEGOs at home, stop by the library between 12-6pm on July 21 and use some of ours!

Make a Fish Print | 1:00 pm, Friday, July 29, All Ages

Registration is required for this event. Did you know there are 162 species of fish in Minnesota? Join the MN Aqua intern from Whitewater State park at the library to learn about the fish of southeast Minnesota and get some tips on how to catch them. We’ll paint fish prints to take home.

StoryWalks® in Covered Bridge Park

Story Walks will be up in Covered Bridge Park all summer long, with a new story every three weeks. Take a walk in the park and enjoy a story!

The StoryWalk® concept was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and was developed with the help of Rachel Senechal, Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

The ZPL Story Walk is brought to you by the Zumbrota Public Library and Live Well Goodhue County.

*These projects are made possible with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund and the people of Minnesota for Library Legacy activities.
