Take a stroll and read a story in Covered Bridge Park! Each month will feature a new book whose pages will be spread out along a walking route, so you can read while you walk.
The Jolly Pops*
10:30 am, Tuesday, June 23, All Ages
Join us on the Zumbrota Public Library’s Facebook page for a virtual presentation by The Jolly Pops. This family music group combines upbeat, original music with a host of children’s standards for a concert that is sure to please kids and adults alike.

Laura MacKenzie: The Outlander Series & Traditional Scottish Music Virtual Event*
6:00 pm, Monday, July 20, Recommended for Adults
MacKenzie presents a program of Outlander’s traditional Scottish music, from both the Highlands and the Lowlands, on an array of instruments including wooden flutes, whistles, concertina, Scottish smallpipes, border bagpipes and voice. Covering history, language and cultural traditions.
National Eagle Center Virtual Event*
10:30 am, Tuesday, July 28, All Ages
The National Eagle Center provides the opportunity to learn all about eagle biology, ecology, natural history and cultural connections in an engaging and entertaining presentation by one of our naturalist interpreters. This program features a live eagle ambassador.
Virtual LEGO Contest
6:00 pm, Thursday, July 30, All Ages
Submit pictures or a video tour of your LEGO creation for the annual ZPL LEGO Contest! All submissions must be received by 6pm on July 30 to be considered. Please email your submissions to email@example.com. The age categories are 5-8 years old and 9+.

Summer Book Clubs will take place on GoToMeeting. Read each month’s book selection and join other kids for discussion and related activities. Please contact the library and provide an email address to receive links to the virtual meetings.
Join us on the Zumbrota Public Library Facebook page at 2:00pm on June 1, July 1, and August 1 to hear a read aloud of the first chapter of the corresponding month’s book club selection.

Take and Make Activities
Every other week we will provide the instructions and supplies for a different craft or activity! Stop by the library to pick up your activity bag.
Trash to Treasure STEM Challenges
Every other week, we will provide you with a super-secret challenge. You must use what you have at home to complete the challenge.
Virtual Writer’s Workshops
Imagine your story…and then write it! Each week we will provide a writing prompt for the whole family. Share your stories with the library by emailing your writing to firstname.lastname@example.org or tagging the library on social media.
There will be a weekly activity sheet that includes the themes and prompts for these programs.
